GIS Data

Listed below are the City of Georgetown GIS data sets available for download.  All are in ESRI Shapefile format and are compressed into “zip” files.  They may be “unzipped” using free tools such as WinZip and IZArc.   Data sets may also be purchased on compact disk.  Disk must me preordered a minimum of two days in advance.   Prices are shown on the “Hardcopy Maps and Data on Disk” page.

Georgetown Survey Control Benchmarks – Contains City of Georgetown .PDF document describing benchmarks as well as GIS data in an ESRI Shapefile™ format provided by Baker-Aicklen & Associates, Inc.

Digital aerial imagery is not available for download due to server restrictions.  Current imagery is available for purchase as a complete set on DVD for $275.00.  This 2006 imagery covers all of the City Limits and most of the City’s extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ).  Two-foot interval topographic contours are also included in the DVD set.  Please note that aerial images are stored in electronic files and are intended for use by image editing software and/or CAD/GIS software.  Files sizes are large.
